Challenge

The client had been let down 4 weeks before Christmas. As we are based in Scotland and this is our busiest time of the year, we had to fit them in despite the busy schedule and distance to Workington.

Solution

We sent 2 teams for 3 nights as this work can only be completed once the shops are all closed. Set up traffic management to ensure safe working conditions and used cherry pickers for high-level cleaning access.

Result

Clean shopfronts for all Christmas shoppers and all ready for Santa. The client was delighted with our rapid response and professional service during their busiest season.

Challenge

The client complained of hazards as the lining work highlighting pedestrian walkways and car park spacing were badly faded, creating safety concerns for customers and reducing the professional appearance of the shopping centre.

Challenge

Wrong manhole cover specification was unable to cope with the heavy HGV traffic going in and out of the service yard. The high-traffic area required a robust solution with minimal disruption to tenant operations.

Solution

Carried out work out-of-hours to minimise disruption. Supplied road plates to allow the concrete and new heavy-duty manhole to set properly whilst maintaining access. Professional installation with proper drainage integration and surface reinstatement.

Result

Uninterrupted access to tenant loading bays maintained throughout the project. New heavy-duty manhole cover installed capable of handling HGV traffic. Zero downtime for service yard operations and complete client satisfaction.

Challenge

Full system drainage backup at The Gyle Shopping Centre. The issue required immediate investigation to identify the cause and prevent disruption to tenants and customers. Working outside normal hours added complexity to the diagnostic process.

Solution

Located all underground drainage using specialist equipment. Carried out high-pressure jetting to clear the system, followed by comprehensive CCTV survey. Located the issue within a manhole and carried out targeted repairs to ensure free-flowing drainage and prevent further blockages.

Result

No more flooding and blockages at the shopping centre. Drainage system restored to full functionality with free-flowing operation. Client impressed with rapid out-of-hours response and effective problem resolution that prevented ongoing disruption.

Challenge

Rosie wanted a complete garden transformation covering both the front and back of her property, but needed a competitive quote that would fit within her budget. The existing fence had been damaged by high winds, and the garden's exposed position meant any replacement would need to withstand harsh weather conditions.

We began by addressing the storm-damaged fence, installing a full replacement with additional support posts to account for the property's exposed location. We then constructed custom decking areas to both the front and back gardens, creating attractive and functional outdoor living spaces. The project was completed with a beautifully slabbed garden pathway, tying the whole transformation together.
